Last updated: 15 May 2026
1. Who we are
Bookflicks ("we", "us", "our") is owned and operated by Grant Wardle. By accessing or using this website (the "Service") you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Intended use
Bookflicks is provided to primary-school teachers and their pupils as a virtual book-corner for managing a physical class library. You agree to use the Service only for lawful, educational purposes.
3. Accounts
Teacher accounts must be created with accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.
4. Intellectual property
All content, code, design, branding, the name "Bookflicks", logos, layouts, copy, the underlying database structure, and all other materials forming part of the Service are owned by Grant Wardle and protected by UK copyright, database right, trade mark, and other intellectual-property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, mirror, frame, reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.
5. Your content
Class names, student first-names, book lists, and reviews you add remain yours. By adding them, you grant us a limited licence to store and display them within your class so the Service can function. We do not sell or share your content with third parties.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload unlawful, offensive, or infringing content;
- attempt to access accounts, classes, or data that are not yours;
- use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service;
- interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service.
7. Availability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grant Wardle is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the site owner via the contact details on the site.
